How do I insert a registered trade mark symbol?

I'm using an Access database and in the middle one of the fields I have a
word that is a registered trade mark. Since Alt 0174 would work I have tried
copying and pasting the registered trade mark symbol from a character map.
At first the symbol shows up but when you go to save the edit the symbol
changes to a lower case r. This Access database provides data for a Zebra
Printer that is printing the text on a bar code label. It prints a lower
case r.

AFAIK, Alt 0174 doesn't mean the registered trademark symbol in every font.

In Windows Alt-0174 will work but what font set do you use in the Zebra?
Probably you have to insert a code specific to this printer or select a
different font.
