How do I insert a file into a Word document?

With Office 2003 it was very easy to insert a file into a word document.
This facility seems to have disappeared from Office 2007. How do I insert a
file into a Word document without copying and pasting?

Many thanks.

It's carefully hidden. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click beside
Object and choose Text from File.

It hasn't disappeared. It's just one of a number of places where the
miraculous new ribbon layout failed to make itself obvious. :-(

On the Insert tab of the ribbon, click the down arrow on the Object button
and then click Text From File. From there it's the same as in 2003.

If you expect to use that command often, right-click it and choose Add to
Quick Access Toolbar.
