how do I import a word table into powerpoint

how do I import a word table into powerpoint without it changing any of the
data?
 
If the table is the only content in the Word doc, you can start in PPt & use
Insert>Object, select 'Create from file' & navigate to the doc to insert it
on a slide.

Regardless of whether the doc has other content, you can click in the table,
go to Table>Select>Table, then Copy. Go to the slide in PPt & Paste.

Just be sure that you are _not_ inserting/pasting into a Placeholder on the
slide.
