how do I hide the send/recieve status dialog?

on a thin client when ever outlook checks for new mail a dialog box pops up,
I would like to hide this box as it interfeeres with what I am doing when it
show up and suggestions to disable or hide this dialog?
 
Not much to go on here. You didn't even provide your Outlook version, let
alone your mail account type and information store.
