How do I hide my e-mail address from the recipient?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003, and would like to be able to send an e-mail
without disclosing my e-mail address to the recipients. It is necessary for
me to do this as I do not wish my personnal e-mail address to be readily
available - a bit like being x-directory on your phone, or having you number
hidden.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone has.

So you don't want them to know your e-mail address? Then why would they
want YOU to know their e-mail address? Since they won't know from whom the
e-mail originates, why would you think they would even want to get your
e-mail?

Telnet to an open SMTP server on port 21 do HELO and you're in... not sure
if this is still possible but it used to be back in the day.

Alternatively, tell Outlook your email address is not what it is. This is
quite easy to do as your e-mail address is just another field when you set
up POP/SMTP access. But your mail server will insert something to identify
you in the message headers somewhere.

Do a search for anonymous e-mail on Google.
