How do I "gray out" Shortcut Menu choices?

Hi,

I'm creating shortcut menus using macros and code. I've noticed that Access
has the ability to "gray out" choices that you don't want available depending
upon parameters.

Can anyone tell me how to cause a shortcut menu item to be grayed out?

Application.commandbars("mybar").Controls("mycontrol").Enabled=False
