how do I give my user ID administrator privliges?

I USE WINDOWS XP AND I WAS TRYING TO RUN THE ROAD RUNNER ACTIVATION WIZARD
AND A SCREEN POPPED UP SAYING THAT MY USER ID MUST HAVE ADMINISTRATOR
PRIVLIGES TO USE ACTIVATION WIZZARD. WHAT DO I DO/OR HOW DO I GET THESE
ADMINISTRATOR PRIVLIGES?

tell you what. without insulting too much. learn to use
your computer first and all the things it can do before
going on the net and catching a virus or spyware or hijacker.
but start ,control panal,user accounts. and you are on
your own from there.

You need to log-in as an ADMINISTRATOR or a user with these rights. IS this your own PC or have you just borrowed it from a friend?

If it is your friend's then advise him that his keyboard "may" need replacement as it only types CAPITAL/BLOCK letters!!

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
