How do I downgrade from Windows 2003 Server - that shipped with my new
Dell - to Win 2000 Server ?

Do I need media ? or is it on the same CD ? how do I get to install it ?

Thank you.

Complete re-install. If you install 2000 then you no longer have a license
for 2003, it is legal to go back but you aren't given a freebie to go
forward later on.

As long as you purchased 2003 and CAL's, you can legally install 2000
and use the CAL's purchased for 2003 or any other cals you might have
had for 2000. If you choose to install 2003 at a later date you must
uninstall 2000, or in-place upgrade 2000 to 2003, you can use the 2003
as an upgrade path.

The license is for 2003, even if you install (legally) 2000.

I understand that I cannot go back to 2003 afterwards for free.

My application runs under Terminal Services, and when using XP Pro - under
2000, no additional licensing is required - under 2003 I need a TS license
for each workstation.

Is 2000 on the same CD and will I get a question at one point to pick 2000 ?

2003 came pre-installed on my Dell server.

Thanks.
