how do I get the recently used file list to work in Excel 2003. .

I want to use the Recently used file list in Excel 2003 but the option is
greyed out on the Tools\Options\General tab.

This has happened in all the Office progducts I have.

What is the problem, please

This was the problem

1. manually added "NoRecentDocsHistory"=dword:00000001 to
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Dword was set to 1. I set this to 0 and all is now working fine.
