How do I get the htaccess file that frontPage needs?

I upgraded from Office XP to FrontPage 2003 now I am getting the error
message on the admin console 'can't find htaccess file'

FrontPage shouldn't ever show you the .htaccess file (because it starts with
a . ).
which admin console is giving you this error?

you might try to open the live web with FrontPage then hit tools/
recalculate hyperlinks and see if that helps.
