how do i get the clipboard to put a list that i have made in alphabetical order

You don't -- the clipboard doesn't have any way to manipulate the
order of its contents.

What you can do is paste the material into a document (either the one
you're working in, or a blank "scratch" document that you open just
for this purpose), select it, and click Table > Sort. The text doesn't
have to be in a table to be sorted, that's just the menu that command
lives in.
