How do I get rid of these

Wesley Vogel

Try this.

Open Folder Options...
Start | Run | Type: control folders | Click OK |
View tab | Unselect: Show popup description for folder and desktop items |
Click Apply | Click OK

Show popup description for folder and desktop items
[[Specifies that a description of a selected folder or desktop item is
displayed in a pop-up window. When you select this check box, the pop-up
description appears even if Web content is not enabled on your desktop or in
folders.]]

In Wesley Vogel <[email protected]> had this to say:

My reply is right here:

Wes?!? I'm impressed! I had no idea what the heck these "squares" were and
was so completely lost on that one. I actually flagged this to see what the
heck was going on and wondering if I had missed something. I note the "try
this" at the start but still! That was, and is, impressive... There should
be a rating system for us to be able to say "I don't know what he was
thinking but that one was good enough to be mind-blowing" but there isn't...
Should be though and if there was I'd give you two thumbs up for that one.
