I am linking a wma file to a ppt slide via an action button. How do I get rid
of the 'some files contain viruses... would you like to open this file'
dialogue box. Also the Windows Media Player window opens up and interrupts
the ppt flow. I want to be able to click the button and start the music
without interruption. I am running power Point 2003 on Windows XP.

Check this out:
""Some files can contain viruses ..." message when clicking a hyperlink "

You can also try this:
Click View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox.
On the toolbar, click on the last icon which should be "More Controls".
Scroll right to the bottom and select Windows Media Player.

Now, you will be able to insert the player at any of the slides.
To do so, you can either click on the slide, or click and drag to a
preferred size.
A properties screen should appear. If it doesn't, right click on the player,
select properties.
Under (Custom), click on the empty field which then displays a three dots
button. Click on the button. Now, you will be able to select the file name or
url.
