how do I get rid of superimposed words in a document

I am trying to edit a voice recognition document and when I go to correct it
everything superimposes other words over the document and any other window I
pull up will not go away it just superimposes too. How do I fix this?
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Word.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
