How do I get rid of my OEM Version and Load Store bought

I have an Office 2000 configuration running on my machine
and Outlook is just dumping all over me. I have run
repair, but the artifacts from the SRs and patches remain
so I cannot reload them afterwards.

I have a copy of Outlook 2000 SR1 that I bought, but I
cannot get Outlook from the OEM off the machine so I can
put the after market one on. Apparently I need to
uninstall the entire Office package -- an unacceptable
solution because it will take a whole damn day to
reinstall it and then download all of the SRs and patches
posted to Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Thank goodness I
did not reload the database last time.

How do I do this?

format c: from a command prompt?

Seriously, it might help if you tell us what you've done
so far to remove OL. Also, check KB article 257667
