How do i get rid Junk mail folder items although none are there?

My Junk email folder for Outlook shows that I have 4294967294 messages
although when you click on the folder there are none. This occured after my
Outlook errors showing I needed to run scanpst.exe or "inbox repair tool".
How can I get rid of these?

Seems to me that running the Inbox Repair Tool might be a good place to

Sorry, but I got these after I ran the inbox repair tool. These were not
there before. I have had a few problems with my deleted items not being
removed and telling me to run the inbox repair tool. This last time when I
did this, it created this additional error now in my junk email folder. I
have tried running the inbox repair again, but it did not remove the so
called items from the folder tab showing I have them.

Seems to me that running the Inbox Repair Tool might be a good place to
start, don't you think? Or was there some other question you meant to ask?

Seems to me that you should have provided a clear and accurate description
of your problem if you expected us to help from the distance of a newsgroup.

help people not beat them down, just because they do not describe things to
your satisfacation. They only give you 8-10 words to come up with a
question. I am new to these groups and feel I did my best. Please try to be
helpful or don't answer the question if you just want to be spiteful.

I have no idea to what "community" you are referring. Your post appeared in
a Microsoft end user NNTP newsgroup which provides ample opportunity for you
to explain your problem with as many words and in as much detail as required
using the following guidelines:

respectfully request that warn us when you don't know how to post you learn
how to use support newsgroups using an appropriate NNTP interface.

Some people here are more direct than others, but nobody is
intentionally mean or hurtful.

Regarding your problem, I would suggest you run scanpst one more time;
make sure that Outlook is closed when you do it.

In addition to what Pat says, did you see if you could right-click the Junk
E-mail folder and choose Empty?

I too had the same problem as initiated by this thread. There were supposedly 26 unread entries listed in my Junk E-mail folder and they had been there for some time; however, after opening the folder, none were visible. I right-clicked on the folder and was able to successfully remove this volume.
