how do i get pictures off of a word document?

My friend sent me a bunch of pictures on a word document. I am having trouble
getting them off. Can anyone help me?
 
Save it as a web page...that'll cause all the images to be saved off
as individual .jpg images in a separate sub folder which will have the
same name as the name you give the page when you save it.

To save as a web page, click File > Save As and click the drop down
and choose Web Page HTML (not filtered). Then go look in your My
Documents folder for the page and subsequent sub folder...your images
will all be in there.
