How do I get my summary task durations to display?

i have a project plan that was started from scratch. I have the normal
Summary tasks followed by subtasks. I have entered all of my subtask
duration but the plan is not 'rolling up' those durations for me and
calculating my summary task durations. is there a setting I need to make to
make this roll-up happen?
 
Are you talking about something you've done in Project, or in Access (the
database product that's part of Office Professional)?

This newsgroup is for questions about Access. If you're talking about
Project, you'd be better off posting to a newsgroup related to that product.
If you are talking about Access, you'll need to provide more details, such
as what the tables look like, and how you're updating them.
