How do I get email when something entered

I want to create a spreadsheet for documenting troubleshooting
requesting requests. I would like to receive an email when
information is documented.

How can incorporate this into the spreadsheet?
 
How is the information documented? Does someone enter something in a
spreadsheet? Create a Word document? E-mail someone?

One other piece of information that would be useful is how familiar you are
with Excel macros.

Work dictates that I use Lotus notes. I am ok with Macros
 
Then I recommend you create a macro in Lotus Notes. If you need help, post
to the Lotus Notes group.
