How do I get back the missing header/footer toolbar is Word 2000?

My header/footer toolbar is missing. When I choose View, Header/Footer, the
toolbar does not appear. Therefore, I cannot switch between header/footer or
use any of the other options available in the header/footer toolbar. How do I
get it back?

Try

The problem is that most people who answer questions use newsreaders such as
Outlook Express or Forte Agent, which easily show all the newsgroups. But
most people who ask questions use the Microsoft web-based interface, which
does its level best to hide anything useful.

Suzanne was a bit quick off the mark with that one as it was the
customization.menustoolbars newsgroup that you were seeking.

Unfortunately, there is only a limited number of the newsgroups available
via the web interface at

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx

and to get to the full range of newsgroups, it is necessary to use a
newreader such as Outlook Express. Post back if you want instructions for
how to do that.

However another way to find things (and usually instant help) is to go to
Google Groups at:

http://groups-beta.google.com/groups/dir?sel=33606782&expand=1

where there is an archive of all newsnet posts and do a search there which I
just did for the following words from the post by Arima53:

"My header/footer toolbar is missing"

That returned two results of which the following link is to the one that you
are looking for:

The OP was Arima53. jam was trying to find the customization.menustoolbars
newsgroup which is where Beth had responded to the post by the OP Arima53.
