When I open up attachements they open up to a smaller size window. I want
them to open up to the full size screen. How do I do this? Thanks for the
help.

I do not understand this answer. It only creates another question in my
mind. Now the question would be, how do I know what program I open my
attachement with? Also what does "consult" mean? How do I "consult" a
program even if I knew what it was?
Regards

It means Outlook is not responsible for how attachments are opened. It is
not even responsible for deciding which application the attachment gets
opened with.

If you want a certain application to always open in Full Screen, you must
check (consult) the documentation of that application to see how that should
work for that application. Some will support it while others don't and will
open always a window in the Normal state instead of a Maximized state.
Surely you don't mean that? You are totally in control of this by the
applications that you install.

Thank you the expanded explanation. I guess I'm an idiot. The State of
Alaska gave me this computer to use in my work and I don't have a clue what
"program" is opening my attachments. It's rather obvious to me at this point
that my question it rather more complex then I originally thought. Certainly
if a person with your obvious expertise has no simple answer then there is no
simple answer. I guess I was looking for something like, "you go the
settings menu and click on this". Apparently that was rather naive on my
part. Thank you for your response and I apologize for wasting your time.

Surely you know that doc-files get opened with Word or pdf-files get opened
with Adobe Reader?
Once you've double clicked the file it will open the associated application.
Usually the application name is revealed in the Title Bar or by choosing
Help-> About. From there contact support for that application.

Outlook doesn't control any of this.

I do now. Thanks again. I'll poke around Word or Adobe Reader and see if I
can find the settings I need. I'm on the right track now so thanks again for
the help. I understand the differences now and I'm totally clued on the fact
that Outlook doesn't control the functions I want to adjust.

You're welcome! :-)
