I have inserted a medie clip into my presentation. It works perfectly when I
view, but when I e-mailed it to a friend for editing she could see the icon,
but not hear the midi. I need to send this presentation to a large group and
would like to know how to make sure they are able to hear the sounds.

Thanks
B

You must include the media clip with the presentation when you send it.
Media files are not embeded in PowerPoint, they are linked files.

Create a folder, move the ppt and midi to the folder.
Re-insert the midi into ppt.
Save the ppt.
Zip the FOLDER using WinZip or WinRaR.
Send the zip file.
When you sent through email, the recepients will need to extract/unzip the
folder out before playing the presentation.

I followed your directions and I'm still not able to make it work... I
created a forlder, addded the ppt and midi files. Reinserted the midis into
the ppt and zipped with WinZip. They still can't hear it. What do you
suppose I'm doing wrong? I got the midi files from the MS site. I really
need to get this sent out today. I would appreciate your input

Frustrated

Send me a copy of the zip file to pptheaven[at]gmail[dot]com.
Replace the [at] with @ and [dot] with .

If they're doubleclicking the ZIP file and then running the PPT from within it,
it won't work. They have to extract all the files from the ZIP to a folder and
then run the PPT from there.
