I want to format text into columns of the newspaper and magazine type.

This is for easier reading of long tracts of text.

In Word2000 this is easily done from the toolbar, but I cannot find a
similar way in Frontpage2000.

I have been using the table facility instead, but this is tedious and takes
too long.

Can someone help me here?

Alternatively, is feasible to use Word2000 to compose the text and columns,
and then transpose these directly to Frontpage2000?

I use WindowsXP.

Please help, Frank

You can't, you have to place your text manually into each column of a table.

You might be able to save your text in column format in Word2000
as a web page, then make it an include in FP where you want it.
Hopefully Thomas will correct me if this is wrong.

Personally, I think you should use div's or tables, it'd be much
easier.
