How do I format the character N with a double strikethrough as a currency
symbol for Nigeria? EG: N1,000.00 . The N in N1,000.00 is displayed with a
double strike through?

If there's a better way in Excel, I'm not aware of it, but here is what I
got...:)

Select a blank cell
On the Insert menu select Symbol
On the Symbol dialog box select the Symbol tab
Select Tahoma from the Font dropdown, then select Currency Symbols from the
Subset drop down (you should now see the Nigerian Naira currency symbol in
the list of symbols below)
Click on the Insert button
Highlight and then copy the symbol (just the symbol/text, don't copy the cell)
Select the cells that contain the values you want to format with the
Nigerian Naira currency symbol
On the Format menu select Cell
On the Format Cell dialog box, select the Numbers tab
From the Category list box, select custom
In the Type text box paste the Nigerian Naira currency symbol (Ctrl+v)
Type the followin after the symbol in the Type text box, " #.00" (without
qoutes)
The final Custom format should look like this, "₦ #.00" (without qoutes)

Harder to type than to do.;) Apply the custom format to any value that
requires it!!
