How do I fix Error 3086 (Cannot delete from specified tables)?

I have imported data into Excel 2007 and I am trying to query this data. The
error 3086 will not let me delete information from the specified tables.
Microsoft help explains this is related to read only tables, but I have not
created read only tables. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Hi Amber

Any tables linked to Excel are ALWAYS read-only. This used not to be the
case, but it changed when MS had some legal challenge about the code that
was making the tables updateable.
