How do I find which program is trying to access email addresses

Every time I reply to, forward, or create a new email I receive a notice that
says" A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in
Outlook". I can only choose to allow or deny access. Either way sending
emails works. I have up to date virus definitions (Norton) and Ad-Aware
installed and do not pick up any viruses. The warning box is a nuisance. How
can it be eliminated or is their a potential threat? How do you determine
what is causing this? I could not find any Microsoft knowledge bases that
relate and nothing in Outlook help.

This sounds similar to the posting I made a few days ago. i get the same
notice but only when opening my Hotmail profile and there are messages.
Hopefully someone will come up with a response.

What is listed for add-ins to Outlook? Maybe one of them doesn't
support the latest service pack you have installed for MS Office.
(Options -> Other -> Advanced)

Following your comment I checked and the only COM Add-In listed is Norton
Antispam Outlook Plugin. Do you think this is the problem?

Disable all add-ins and plug-ins, exit Outlook, and reload it. Does the
problem still occur?

Are you using the embedded compose editor within Outlook? Or are you
using Word to compose the message?

I disable (unchecked) the Norton Antispam and it seemed to work. However, the
next time I opened the Hotmail profile the same problem arose and I found
that the Norton Antispam had be automatically enabled (checked). There does
seem to be some link with the Antispam but I am not comfortable changing the
Norton set-up. Any other ideas?

I have probably tried using Word only a couple times as a test of
functionality but it has been too long since testing Word as the e-mail
compose editor for Outlook. I don't like the HTML output from Word and
instead will use an HTML editor to compose HTML-formatted e-mails if
they require more complexity in coding that what I can achieve using
Outlook's embedded compose editor.

What happens if you configure to NOT use Word as the e-mail editor in
Outlook? Does the prompt go away then?

Oops, see in your reply to ukpojo that you already tried disabling Word
as the compose editor for Outlook and the problem went away. I figured
you were trying to access contacts from Word and the security "feature"
in Outlook was bitching about it.
