LINEST and LOGEST can calculate the coefficients of chart trendlines
that have explicit formulae, e.g. http://www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme/ExcelTips/Polynomial.htm
Assuming that there is a nontrivial maximum, you could then use Solver
to find it if you don't want to do the calculus.
