How do I find out who last modified a Word Document?

Someone in our office modified a document and we are trying to find out who
did. Is there a way to do this?
 
IF they have filled out the User Information screen, then their information
will be found on the Document Properties window. Open the document and go to
File - Properties and click on the Statistics tab.

It wouldn't stand up in a court of law!
