how do i find my 25-character CD key foe my pc

i can`t access microsoft work or works because it keeps asking me for my
25-character CD key and i can`t find mine i am using windows xp professional
 
It's on a sticker on the CD case.

It's asking for the product key for Works, not the one for Windows on your
computer case. The Works key is on the packaging--either the box it came in
or on the Certificate of Authenticity.
