How do I find all index marks

D

Daniel Rimmelzwaan

Hello,

At least I think they are index marks... There's a sentence in this document
that goes like this:
Relates to Items {XE "Items"} you sell

I inherited these XE marks from the old version of the documents, and I want
to remove them, because there is no need for an index. Is there a way to
browse for them and remove them quickly?

Thanks,
Daniel.

Hi, Daniel,

First, make sure you can see the index marks (actually, index entry fields),
which are formatted as Hidden text; click the Show/Hide button if necessary.

Then open the Replace dialog and enter this in the Find What box:

^19 XE

There is a space between the 9 and the X. Leave the Replace With box empty.
Click the Replace All button, and the entries will all be removed.
