How do I find a word file I forgot to save?

I started a WORD file and forgot to save it. Is there a way to get back to
the file?

If the work was never *saved* there's nothing to get back Once you close
without saving - especially if you quit the program - there is no more than
the proverbial "snowball's chance" of recovering anything.
