How do I filter data without including the header row?

When filtering my data in spread sheet it continues to include my header rows
as apart of the filtering process, I've tried freezing the frame to include
columns.
 
Try selecting only the range and not the header cell before applying a
filter. For example, select A2:A100 and then apply filter.
