After making a copy of my previous HD (40 Gb) to a new one (80 Gb) I have a
basic partition of 40 Gb (C:), and an unallocated space of another 40 Gb.
How can I incorparate this second 40 Gb into the basic partition to have one
drive C: of 80 Gb.
BTW DISKPART doesn't seem to do it.
Thanks and regards,
GDC

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows installation, is to purchase and use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8.

I've never used HDClone but with most disk cloning software this is best
done when cloning the drive. There is usually a way to specify that you want
the clone to use the full size of the destination drive. If you haven't
invested much time in adding to the new drive you may want to do the cloning
operation again. If not then you will need some 3rd party software to extend
the partition. There is nothing built into XP that will do it.

Bootit Next Generation [BootitNG] has a trial offer that you can run from
a
floppy. It will do a "Resize Partition" operation, and much more. Free
trial,
permanent results.
