How do I export/replace MM2 soundtrack?

I'd like to modify my MM2 soundtrack in a separate audio editor and
import it back into MM2 when I'm done. I can't find an obvious way to
export only the soundtrack. I also need to know how I would replace
the old soundtrack with the modified one. Thanks.

Put the clips with the soundtrack on the audio/music track instead of the
video track. Then save the movie, and it'll save it as an audio-only WMA
file (as long as you have nothing on the video track)

Right Bob,

Import the 'fixed' WMA file and put it on the audio/music track. The
original video clip goes on the video track, with it's autio 'muted', so the
new one plays instead of the original.

That seem to answer only one of his two questions. I'm curious too.

Thanks for the clever tips Papa John. However, I don't think I
explained my problem correctly. I start with an audio/video file such
as an avi or mpeg, and copy it to the timeline. MM2 will
"automatically" place the video and audio underneath one another. I'd
like to separate the audio track from the video and work on it, then
place it back with its video. Any help or clarification would be
appreciated.

When you put the video/audio clip on the timeline, MM2 will 'automatically'
put it in the video track. That's if you drop it there. Don't - keep
dragging it until it is dropped into the music/audio track. Same clip, just
dropping it in a different track.

Once dropped on the music/audio track, MM2 will let you use it as if it's an
audio only clip.
