How do I establish a Server

I have just started using Front Page Version 3.0.2.926 on Windows 2000 Pro. I have a a page ready to publish in Front Page Editor, named index.htm. When I try to start up the publishing in Front Page Explorer I get an "!" error message that says "THere is no server on port 80 at 'don' ". [don is my log-on] I cannot find anything about the subject of setting up a server in the Front Page Help. What do I do
 
You must install IIS as the web server for Win2KPro. Control Panel |
add/remove programs, microsoft.

Thank you, Tom. Now I get a message that I need to install Front Page Server Extensions. I downloaded FPSE 2000 from www.microsoft.com and when I attempted to install, the error message told me that it could not be installed on this version ofWindows, or later. Where can I get FPSE that will work on the IIS installed from Windows 2000PRO? I found SERK on the Windows 2000PRO install disk at d:\VALUEADD\MSFT\XTRADOCS\SERK. These are probably what I am lookin for - but how do I install them?
 
The extensions should have automatically been installed with IIS, you then
need to configure them for the specific web under the IIS MMC.

Tom, thanks again. I go to MMC and I cannot figure what it is that I need to do and "help" is no help. I hat to keep bugging you. Can you refer me to some place that will instruct me in how to accomplish all of this? These continual walls are driving me nuts!. Thanks again.
 
Right click on the web under the IIS MMC, then All Task and you should see a
option to configure/add the extensions.

I'm sorry , but I do not understand. How can I click on the "web"? That's what I am a dismal failure at creating!
 
If you install IIS correctly, you should see a default web.
