How do I enter text outside a box when finished with a text box?

I have put a text box in a document and added all the text. I now need to
get below the text box to work in the main document, but I am unable to get
the cursor down below the text box to begin entering text into the document
again (outside the text box). What is going on??
 
The text box may be formatted as In Front of Text. Change the wrapping to
Square, and you should be able to find a text paragraph beside or below it.
Turning on display of nonprinting characters (not to mention text
boundaries) is helpful in this regard.
