How do I enter BC dates in Excel?

How does one enter a "BC" date in Excel - such as March 3rd, 1450 BC?

Hi

Select the cell(s), goto Format > Cells > Number > Select Cusom > Type :
mmmm dd, yyyy BC > OK

Excel does not handle dates prior to 1900 AD without special addins.

Unless you need to work with the dates, just enter them as Text.
