How do I enable cookies, Icannot download Excel from My documen

How do I enable cookies ?
I cannot download Excel from My Documents.
On person has suggested it might relate to the Excell version I am running,
how do I find out the version I am running ?

enabling cookies is done through your internet browser.
excel versions...
in a blank cell, enter =INFO(Release)
it will return a number between 5? and 12
12 is 2007
11 is 2003
10 is 2002
9 is 2000
8 is 97
7 is 95
6 was skipped
5 is 93
if you have a version older than release 5, you really need to upgrade.

Choose Help, About Microsoft Office Excel and look at the top of the screen.
If you don't have a Help menu you are in version 12 (2007)
