I used an add-in to embed linked images in PowerPoint 2000, but can't find
one for 2003. I have a PowerPoint presentation with about 50 images linked
to wmf files on my computer. Before I send the presentation to other people,
I need to embed the linked images.

What add-in did you use?

Our free FixLinks demo can embed linked images; if that's what you used before,
just visit http://get.pptools.com , download and install it again.

This explains how to set it up to embed linked images:

I used embed.ppa, which I downloaded from Microsoft. It worked perfectly,
and made my job much easier. I can't figure out why it isn't included in
PowerPoint in the first place. I consider its absence a serious bug in
PowerPoint. I looked at FixLinks but didn't find it very easy to use. Right
now, I'm leaning towards uninstalling PowerPoint 2003 from my new computer
and going back to PowerPoint 2000 and embed.ppa. I embed linked images on an
almost daily basis and I need to be able to do it quickly and easily.

It does a bit more, so it's a bit more involved, it's true.

Embed.ppa does just the one job w/o fuss. So why not install it in your current
copy of PPT and use it? I just tried it in PPT2003 here and it seems to work fine.

Right

I tried that yesterday and couldn't get it to work. But after reading your
last post, I deleted the old file and downloaded it again. This time it
worked. Thanks for encouraging me to try again.
