How do I download email for two users into the same folder?

On our laptop my wife and I have two separate user IDs that we use to log
into Windows XP. When we use Outlook, email that I download can't be seen by
my wife unless she switches to my user ID, and vice versa. On our desktop we
had Outlook Express. I was able to configure it so that both user accounts
downloaded email to the same folder so that we wouldn't have to switch back
and forth between user IDs in order to see all of our email. I can't seem to
find anything anywhere on the internet that tells me how to do this with
Outlook 2003.

Here's one thought. In Outlook, you can open another .pst file, which is the
data file where all of your Outlook data is kept. Right now, you each have
your own .pst file. Under one profile, right click on the "Personal Folders"
item in the folder tree on the left-hand side of the window, then left-click
on Properties, the click on Advanced. This will tell you the location of this
file. Then, go to the other person's profile, open Outlook, go to File /
Open, and select Outlook data file. Find that data file, and open it. If
you want to make that data file the default location to put email items, you
can. (A whole separate procedure, let me know if you need more details.)

The other thought is that you could specify to leave a copy of the email on
the server, which is an option under the email account properties, advanced
tab. Then, you both see the incoming. The downside to this is that you
won't be able to see the replies that your wife sends out, etc. Is that a
problem?

Hope this helps.
