How do I download a Powerpoint 2000 add-in with Powerpoint 2003?

I'm trying to download a Powerpoint 2000 add-in, but am currently using
Powerpoint 2003. After trying the download, I'm presented with a message
indicating that 2000 is not on my machine, and I need to install it prior to
completing the download.

The add-in may only be intended for use with PowerPoint 2000.

You don't mention what add-in or where you got it, so it'd be a waste of
everybody's time to speculate beyond that.

Best bet is to contact the author of the add-in.
