I am very new at this. Can you please tell me how to display the address
bar and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.

It says address at the top right-hand side of the screen and the address-bar
check box is checked.

I need to be able to type in the URL. While it says that the address bar is
displayed, I am unable to see it, except for the word address at the top
right-hand screen in a box. What I am looking for is the long address bar
that runs across the whole screen at the top of the page underneath the
toolbox where you can type in a URL and then go to it.

Right mouse click in the tool bar and make "lock toolbar" unchecked
Then drag the dotted line in front of the words address bar to expose the address bar box.
