I just updated from office 2000 to xp 2003. I've lost the toolbar box that
displays the active cell and I can't find any option to display this again.
Where is it? Thanks.

Hi,
For whatever reason you may be on "FULL SCREEN VIEW" go to VIEW>FULL
SCREEN see if that brings back the formula bar.

are you talking about the formula bar?
tools>options>view tab>check formula bar.

Thank you Ron. The "formula bar" was not listed on "View" menu so I've added
it. Many many thanks.

Thanks for your response. I'm not in full screen view so it was a tooolbar
setting or menu item and Ron nailed it for me. Thanks again.

That's the one, the formula bar. When I upgraded from 12000 none of my
"view" settings were saved along with about a hundred other settings that I'm
gradually getting back to the place I'm used to seeing them. Thanks much,
and now I know it's called a "formula bar". :)
