How do I display a number in a field when I click on a button.

I am just starting Access and I want to try to make a calculator, just a
plain and simple one with plus, minus, mulitply, etc. I would like to know
how to make the number display at the top when I click a number, as in if I
clicked the '1' button a '1' would be displayed at the top, like a
traditional calculator. If any help could be given it would be appreciated.
