Hi there.
I have now started using Outlook 2003 rather than Outlook Express and
wondered how to get rid of the splash screen in Outlook 2003 like I did with
Outlook Express as I make the program run at start up and the splash screen
gets annoying.

Thanks for any help.

Also I'd rather not use the program No Splash Killer, as it takes up too
many resources.

Okay, thanks for the help anyway.

Seems now Outlook refuses to start minimized at startup now anyway so the
splash screen annoyance isn't so important.

If you could tell me how to force Outlook to minimize when started that
would be good.

I already have the relevant shortcut stating to start as minimised, is there
a command for Outlook to force it as well?

Create a shortcut on your desktop whose target is

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Officexx\Outlook.exe"

(Include the quotes. "xx" is "10" for OL 2002, "11" for OL 2003, and
probably not there for Outlook 2000.) Now, right-click on the shortcut and
choose properties. In the "Run" drop-down, select Minimized. Click OK.
Now use that shortcut to launch Outlook.

This method doesn't seem to work anymore. Outlook 2003 just keeps maximising
on startup.
Is there a setting in the program that may be causing it to maximise?
