I just built my first computer. A few particulars.
Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard - AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual
Core 4800+ - 3 Gigs of memory - 4 Barracuda 120 GB hard drives
I have them setup in an 0 + 1 Raid configuration.
2 for Raid 0 and 2 for Raid 1
When I reboot the computer, the Raid info says everything is ok.
If I open Disk Management, it tells me the Status is Healthy (Active)
and is 223.57 GB NTFS
My question is - how can I see if the second drive in the Raid 1 is
actually a perfect mirror of the first drive in the Raid ?
And is there a way to tell if the Raid 0 is actually working on drive
3 and 4 ?
The computer is really fast and I can't bog it down no matter how
many things I'm running at one time. But that could be due to the
the type of CPU, the motherboard, and the 3 Gigs of memory in
her.
I know, you're going to say, "if it runs great, be happy".
*** I'd just like to know ***
Maybe there are utilities out there to run tests on the drives to show
me the Raid setups are working ?
Thanks for any input
