Hi All, Ive never used Access before and i was wondering if there is an
idiots guide out there to creating one? What I am looking to do is create a
form which multiple users can access at the same time and populate a database
from there input, can you help?

Thank you.

Access for Dummies is probably a good place to start, but be aware that
Access is a tool that allows you to *build* an *application*, it isn't a
database straight out of the box in the same way that Excel is a
spreadsheet. There are many pitfalls to be aware of which only research and
experience will reveal.

The main one for multi-user access is to make sure that your database is
split and each user has their own copy of the user-interface.

Feel free to post back when you need help with specific problems as there is
a multitude of talent on here offering *free* advice and guidance.

Good luck.

The most important thing is to fully aware of what the database has to do
before you start designing it. This requires some skills in eliciting this
from the people who will actually use the database. It's also important to
factor in things that may change in the future and so that your design may
can easily cater for them.
