How do I delete unwanted numbering formats

From readings, I understand that Word will retain old numbering formats and
only show the most recently used ones.

How do I remove the formats that I should not have created. Reset seems to
only work on the selected format. Is there an equivilent command or
selection that restores the whole numbering structure to its original
configuration?

Thank you for any suggestions you can offer.

Very respectfully,
Larry

not that I'm aware of (which doesn't mean much). But you can certainly
manually go through all the formats and reset.
