In my case, Outlook 2007. I leave emails on the server (use multiple
coputers for same email - but not with Exchange server). Somewtimes
I want to save the email in the folder, but take it off the server
because I don't need it on the other computers. It would be nice to
be able to right click and delete from server, or create a button
that would do same. (I have an email program that has that option[as
well as the redirect option]).
Well, mail clients can't really redirect. That's a server operation.
I can see how a mail client might be written to have the option of removing
a message from the server, but Outlook doesn't contain that option and I'd
be surprised if it ever will. My opinion is that's it's quite simple to use
a web interface to the server mailbox and delete it. Apps like Mailwasher
allow that kind of control as well.
