how do I delete messages from the server within a message?

How can I delete a message from the server without changing account setting?
In the mac version of Entourage, there is the option to delete or leave a
message on the server built into every message.

I am trying to do the same. It is a standard feature in another email
program I use, but work insists on Outlook (2007) on the Company laptop. My
other email program has the redirect function as well (that I can't seem to
find here either).

Can a rule be written to handle either?

What type of account? What version of Outlook? How do you know there's a
message on the server to delete?

In my case, Outlook 2007. I leave emails on the server (use multiple
coputers for same email - but not with Exchange server). Somewtimes I want
to save the email in the folder, but take it off the server because I don't
need it on the other computers. It would be nice to be able to right click
and delete from server, or create a button that would do same. (I have an
email program that has that option[as well as the redirect option]).

Well, mail clients can't really redirect. That's a server operation.

I can see how a mail client might be written to have the option of removing
a message from the server, but Outlook doesn't contain that option and I'd
be surprised if it ever will. My opinion is that's it's quite simple to use
a web interface to the server mailbox and delete it. Apps like Mailwasher
allow that kind of control as well.
