How do I delete duplicate cells in an Excel 2003 spreadsheet?

I'd like to be able to identify and delete all duplicate cells in an entire
spreadsheet. If I need to do this row by row, that would be fine. But each
row contains numerous entries that I want to make sure don't include
duplicates, so I can't use the method I found by searching Office Online.
(That method involved deleting duplicate rows, which doesn't apply to my
situation.)
